Job summary

PruittHealth Griffin is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with food preparation, tray delivery and serving meals to patients. The role requires following diet orders, maintaining sanitation, and supporting kitchen operations in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include assisting cooks, handling food safely, recording temperatures, and participating in ongoing educational programs to stay current with dietary standards. This is a full-time, on-site position in Griffin, GA.

Qualifications

• Follows diet orders and NPO diet orders.
• Cooks assistance and prepares meals, desserts and snacks for patients.
• Adheres to food handling processes and policies.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in dining and kitchen areas.
• Monitors temperatures and storage of foods.

Responsibilities

• Follows diet orders and NPO diet orders.
• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents.
• Uses proper food handling processes, procedures and policies.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents on halls.
• Delivers and serves meals to patients/residents in dining area.
• Prepares between-meal nourishments and serves per guidelines.
• Offers menu substitutions and records them as directed.
• Performs tray line service and proper leftovers handling.
• Maintains safe and clean dining and kitchen environments.
