Qualifications

• Minimum education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• On-the-job training provided; no prior experience required.
• Previous food service or food preparation experience preferred, long term care dietary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents.
• Deliver trays to patients/residents on halls.
• Deliver and serve meals in dining area; include beverages.
• Prepare between-meal nourishments and record substitutions as directed.
• Comply with infection control and safety procedures while handling food.
