Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist with food preparation, follow established guidelines, and help maintain clean, safe kitchen and dining areas for patients and residents. You will support the cook, deliver trays, serve meals, and help with between-meal nourishments, while following infection control and safety procedures.

This role requires attention to diet orders, proper food handling, and respectful communication with patients, families, and staff as part of a caring

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• Experience in food service is preferred (not required).
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Follow diet orders and simple NPO orders.
• Assist cook with meal preparation and dessert items.
• Deliver trays to patients/residents and serve meals.
• Prepare between-meal nourishments and record substitutions.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas in accordance with policies.
• Monitor and record temperatures for safety compliance.
• Adhere to infection control policies and sanitation procedures.
