Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Dietary Clerk to process patient diet orders, ensure accuracy in diet communications, and maintain CBORD records. You will support meal service and collaborate with the Clinical Dietitian to meet patients’ diet needs.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred), basic math and record-keeping abilities, legible handwriting, and good communication. On-the-job training is provided, with opportunities to learn in a busy hospital nutrition team.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to do basic math and record keeping.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process patient diet orders.
• Communicate diet needs to Clinical Dietitian.
• Maintain patient diet order records in the CBORD system.
• Prepare correct menus and support meal service times for patient areas.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist with training Dietary Clerk staff as needed.
