Job summary

Valley Health System in Paramus, NJ seeks a Dietary Aide to enter patient meal selections on a hand-held computer, assist patients with meal choices, and explain basic diet information to patients and their families.

You will perform CBORD Diet Office System tasks, deliver trays and nourishments, stock nursing pantries, and act as a liaison with the Department of Food & Nutrition to ensure high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• One year of dietary aide experience in hospital food service.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient meal selections in the hand-held computer according to diet orders.
• Assist patients with meal choices and explain basic diet information to patients and families.
• Serve trays and nourishments to patients and stock nursing units pantries.
• Act as liaison with the Department of Food & Nutrition to ensure high quality customer service.
• Address meal service issues as they arise.
