Responsibilities

• Escort patients using wheelchairs and stretchers, and ensure accurate patient identification. Transport items and ensure charts accompany patients.
• Messenger duties: transport mail and deliver patient charts to floors.
• Mail room responsibilities: sort mail, apply postage, and maintain orderly mail storage.
• Transport equipment: ensure oxygen tanks are filled and equipment is returned after use.
• Adhere to Lahey Clinic policies and customer service standards, participate in quality improvement activities.
