Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the department according to protocols.
• Reports patient care or safety concerns to appropriate staff.
• Builds a friendly, respectful relationship with patients and responds to their physical, psychological and social needs.
• Collaborates and communicates with physicians and other health care professionals.
• Notifies appropriate personnel of delays that may affect workflow and transports deceased patients when required.
• Prepares and maintains cleanliness and organization of stretchers, wheelchairs, IV poles and related equipment.
