Responsibilities

• Interview incoming patients or their representatives and prepare registration forms for signature
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization for services
• Process charges into the computer system for services rendered
• Perform cashiering, telephone operator, and health information clerk duties as needed
• Obtain and verify registration data and signatures; explain clinic policies to patients and third parties
• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient health information and ensure proper filing and chart management
