Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in medical insurance verification or other hospital finance areas required.
• Knowledge of authorization or referral verification requirements for Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, managed care plans, workers compensation and other third-party payors required.
• Two years of experience related to insurance verification or hospital finance is required.

Responsibilities

• Process all incoming referrals and faxes and facilitate document management within the EMR.
• Enter accurate patient demographic and insurance information in the EMR when needed.
• Engage with patients as the gateway to the practice to create a positive patient experience.
• Support scheduling and ensure accurate documentation within the EMR system.
