The Intake Coordinator at Hospital for Behavioral Medicine in Worcester, MA, is a full-time day-shift role. You will assist in receiving, scheduling, and referring inquiry calls, coordinate assessments, and help initiate intake paperwork and insurance verification.

You will work with clinicians and the case manager to ensure a smooth admission process, obtain necessary records, process releases of information, and maintain statistics.

Formación

• Experience in hospital intake/departments or business office is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Receive referral calls and obtain minimal demographic information; refer to appropriate source or schedule assessment.
• Process requests for information and external referrals.
• Complete pre-certifications as needed.
• Assist in arranging admission and begin verification of benefits with business office.
• Determine required Releases of Information and process per policy.
• Obtain needed records and information.
• Maintain statistics and support outcome studies and data as assigned.
• Communicate with Utilization Review, Business Office, and staff as indicated.
