Job summary

Claritev is seeking a Patient Intake Advocate to address member, client and provider inquiries with a focus on educating members about the Patient Advocacy Center process. You will match daily claim volume to the correct provider using an in-house web-based application, with schedules spanning PT to ET time zones.

The role requires handling high call volumes, accurate documentation, and adherence to HIPAA in a fast-paced office environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least 1 year of relevant experience in healthcare claims or customer service.
• Experience handling member, provider and facility inquiries with accuracy and empathy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based claim systems, and ability to interpret benefits.

Responsibilities

• Manage main phone line and answer inquiries promptly.
• Ensure timely response to member inquiries with clear education.
• Document events related to medical claims accurately.
• Maintain daily inventory of claims and prioritize workload.
• Handle emails and calls, directing inquiries appropriately.
• Receive, review and forward incoming mail.
• Maintain daily letters to members and request documents when needed.
• Keep Lead Patient Advocate informed of critical matters.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe workplace and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Demonstrate commitment to company values.
