Job summary

Claritev is seeking a thoughtful Member Services Patient Advocate to address member inquiries about balance billing, educate on the process, and update on negotiations to close balance bills. The role supports communications across claims teams and providers in a fast-paced office environment.

The position requires HIPAA awareness, accuracy, and strong organizational skills. Work hours align with multiple time zones; remote options are available depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Experience in a medical healthcare claims role dealing with facilities, providers and members.
• Proactive, self-starter with ability to manage high call volume.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage member phone line and answers all inquiries.
• Educate members on balance billing process.
• Document events related to medical claims.
• Prioritize daily claims and manage a high-volume workload.
• Handle member emails, calls, texts and inquiries.
• Send letters to members and record contact information.
• Keep the Lead Patient Advocate informed of critical matters.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate across disciplines and departments.
