Qualifications

• Doctorate of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine is required.
• Current State Medical License; DEA registration as applicable; CDS license as applicable per prescriptive authority - required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Preferred for Full Time Physicians

Responsibilities

• Adheres to policy guidelines and maintains clinical standards of care.
• Evaluates patients through interviews, examinations, and tests to deliver high-quality care.
• Informs and involves patients in their treatment decisions while respecting values and beliefs.
• Educates patients and families on health prevention and care plans.
• Orders, reviews, and documents tests and results for treatment planning.
• Prescribes treatments and medications appropriate for patient age and condition.
• Provides dietary and hygiene guidance for disease prevention.
• Refers patients to specialists or emergency services when needed.
• Documents data accurately in medical records and ensures timely discharge documentation.
• Utilizes resources prudently and participates in department quality improvement.
