Job summary

St. Joseph's/Candler Health System in Savannah, GA seeks a dynamic Vice President, Medical Group Practice to lead the physician enterprise, drive ambulatory growth, engagement, and high-quality care across the system.

Reporting to the President & CEO, this role oversees strategy, operations, and financial performance for 50+ physician practices, focusing on recruiting, access, and value-based care partnerships across Georgia and the Carolinas.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, MBA, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
• 5-7+ years leading physician practice operations.
• Demonstrated success managing multi-specialty physician groups.
• Strong financial management and physician compensation experience.
• Proven physician recruitment and retention success.
• Experience collaborating with executive leadership and physician governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for a large multi-specialty physician enterprise.
• Partner with physicians to drive operational excellence and clinical integration.
• Develop strategic growth initiatives and new service lines.
• Improve physician productivity, patient access, scheduling, and efficiency.
• Lead physician compensation strategy and alignment initiatives.
• Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
• Support Graduate Medical Education growth and workforce development.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
• Build strategic physician partnerships regionally.
