Job summary

St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care following the nursing process: assess, plan, implement and evaluate. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and supervise assigned personnel to promote optimal outcomes.

Required: Associate Degree in Nursing, RN license, BLS; ACLS within 90 days of hire. Two years of Medical/Surgical or Critical Care experience preferred; strong communication and teaching skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Two years Medical/Surgical and/or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Registered Nurse license required; BLS required; ACLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document physical, psycho-social and developmental patient dimensions.
• Develop, implement and evaluate plans of care with the health care team.
• Engage patients and families using teach-back to improve outcomes.
• Lead collaboration among the health care team to optimize patient care.
• Administer medications using the five rights and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and staff using concise hand-offs.
