Job summary

St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care in collaboration with a supervising physician. The NP will practice within the scope of the state board and ensure documentation is complete and timely.

Requirements include a Master’s in Nursing, State RN and APRN licenses, BLS, and a valid collaboration agreement with prescriptive authority. Prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing required.
• State RN license and APRN license required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clinical standards per policy and procedure manuals.
• Examines patients for symptoms and discusses care options.
• Prepares and educates patients and families for informed decisions.
• Reviews patient medical history and records.
• Orders or interprets tests and imaging to guide treatment.
• Administers or prescribes appropriate treatments and medications.
• Documents data accurately for patient records and billing.
