Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to perform venipuncture, fingerstick and heelstick procedures at LOC0020 in Norwell, MA. You will accurately identify patients, label tubes, print labels, and maintain high safety standards.

The role requires teamwork, effective communication with floors and supervisors, and readiness to train new staff. Per diem scheduling includes 1 Saturday rotation and one holiday annually.

Qualifications

• Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture, fingerstick, and heelstick) per established procedure.
• Identifies patients and labels specimen tubes correctly.
• Prioritizes STAT draws and ensures timely transport to lab.

Responsibilities

• Assists co-workers and trains new employees as needed.
• Maintains clean work areas and proper safety practices.
• Reads and follows hospital policies on universal precautions and PPE.
