Job summary

Pavletic Eye Care in Illinois is seeking an Optician to join our team. You will greet patients, discuss lifestyle needs, take facial measurements, and help them select eyewear and contact lenses based on individual requirements.

You will explain pricing and insurance coverage, educate patients about products, and ensure HIPAA and confidentiality are upheld. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service, strong communication, and a solid understanding of how an optometrist’s office operates.

Qualifications

• Previous optometrist’s experience desired.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality ideal.

Responsibilities

• Meet and talk with patients to learn their needs for eyewear.
• Make suggestions on frames, and assist patients in choosing the best option for them.
• Take facial measurements to ensure a perfect frame fit.
• Prepare specific orders for the ophthalmic lab.
• Explain pricing, insurance, and payment options to the patient thoroughly.
• Operate under all HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
