Job summary

MedNOW Clinics is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant to support safe, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. You will collaborate with providers, Front Desk staff, and clinic leadership to prepare patients, perform approved tasks, document accurately in the EHR, and ensure follow-up care is not missed.

You will welcome patients, obtain vital signs, basic rooming, and assist with procedures after training, while maintaining privacy and infection control.

Qualifications

• Current BLS/CPR cert or ability to obtain before start.
• Basic knowledge of patient rooming, vital signs, infection prevention, and clinical documentation.
• Ability to recognize concerning findings and notify a licensed clinician.
• Understanding MA scope and when to ask for help.
• Strong organization, accuracy, communication, and follow-through.
• Protect confidential information and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Willingness to work onsite in a busy outpatient clinic.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and help them feel informed, supported, and safe.
• Room patients and collect chief concern, vitals, allergies, and meds.
• Prepare exam rooms and patient for provider visits and procedures.
• Document patient information in the EHR.
• Report concerning changes to the clinician.
• Perform approved clinical tasks after training.verification.
• Label and handle specimens with safety procedures.
• Follow infection-prevention standards.
