Job summary

MedNOW Clinics in Denver, CO is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant to support safe, patient-centered care alongside providers and front desk staff.

You will prepare patients, document accurately in the electronic health record, coordinate labs and referrals, and ensure safety and privacy while watching for concerning signs.

Onsite training and a collaborative team environment are provided, with opportunities for growth and ongoing competency validation.

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certified or obtainable before start date.
• Basic knowledge of patient rooming, vital signs, infection prevention, and clinical documentation.
• Ability to recognize concerning findings and notify a licensed clinician promptly.
• Understand MA scope and when to seek help.
• Strong organization and communication, with attention to confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, keep them informed, and ensure a safe, supportive environment.
• Room patients and obtain chief concerns, vitals, med list, allergies, and screenings.
• Prepare exam rooms and document information in the EHR accurately.
• Report unusual vitals or symptoms to a licensed clinician.
• Perform approved clinical tasks after training and competency verification.
• Label and handle specimens with proper patient identifiers and safety.
• Coordinate labs, referrals, orders, and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and monitor supplies and equipment.
• Follow infection-prevention guidelines and HIPAA requirements.
