Job summary

MedNOW Clinics is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant to support safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. You will work closely with providers, Front Desk staff, and clinic leadership to prepare patients for visits, complete approved tasks, maintain documentation, and ensure follow-up needs are not missed.

Requirements include BLS/CPR certification, knowledge of rooming and vital signs, HIPAA compliance, and the ability to work onsite in a busy outpatient clinic.

Qualifications

• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain it before first day of work.
• Basic knowledge of patient rooming, vital signs, infection prevention, and clinical documentation.
• Ability to recognize concerning findings and promptly notify a licensed clinician.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and help them feel informed, supported, and safe.
• Room patients and obtain chief concern, vital signs, medication list, allergies, and screenings.
• Prepare patients and exam rooms for provider visits and procedures.
• Document patient information and completed tasks in the EHR.
• Report concerning vital signs or changes to the clinician.
• Perform approved clinical tasks after training and competency verification.
• Label and handle specimens with proper safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and coordinate follow-up needs.
