Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience.

Responsibilities include welcoming patients, documenting histories and vitals, assisting with exams and testing, administering medications, and educating patients and families to promote better health outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of an MA program with externship/internship preferred.
• EMT, Paramedic, or Certified Athletic Trainer credentials are acceptable.
• MA-Non-Credentialed path acceptable with MA candidate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and liaise between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
