Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

In this part-time, Day Shift role, you welcome patients, take histories and vital signs, assist with exams and testing, and communicate results to patients.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• If MA program/externship/internship not completed, 2+ years of clinical support experience required.
• Maintain current MA Re-Certification CEUs if credentialed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
