The position is contingent as needed, part-time with rotating shifts, and emphasizes education for patients and families to improve health outcomes within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of accredited MA program and externship.
• EMT, Paramedic, or Athletic Trainer credentials are acceptable.
• May require MA certification or recertification.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
