Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care in a part-time, day-shift role. The position involves patient intake, assisting with exams, and supporting care coordination across the team.

You will collect histories, vital signs, and health information, administer medications as directed, and educate patients and families to improve health outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of accredited MA program with externship/internship; EMT/Paramedic or Athletic Trainer programs may apply.
• If credentialed, maintain current MA re-certification CEUs.
• Minimum 0–1 year clinical experience preferred; 2+ years in community clinic acceptable if no MA program completed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and act as liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
