Job summary

Natow Rosenberg & Pion MD PC is seeking a dedicated medical office assistant to support physicians and care teams on Long Island. You will escort patients, interview histories, and prepare treatment rooms, ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the day.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, empathetic, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced clinic environment. Spanish language skills are a plus; on-site roles offer full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills essential for patient interviews and care coordination.
• Requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks.
• Empathy and teamwork are critical for supporting physicians and patients.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms in order of appointment times.
• Interview patients to obtain history and medications and document on charts.
• Prepare treatment rooms according to procedures and anticipate physicians’ needs.
• Assist physicians with biopsies and surgical procedures as required.
• Clean and sterilize instruments; maintain exam room readiness.
• Keep exam rooms clean and organized after visits.
• Complete pathology and laboratory requisitions and document pickups; contact labs for outstanding tests.
• Answer patient and care-physician inquiries by phone or email; relay messages as needed.
• Stock exam rooms and ensure supplies are available.
• Process and submit required documentation, update prior authorization forms when necessary.
• Prioritize incoming authorization requests based on urgency.
