Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients preparing for exam; provides basic instruction and escorts patients, families, and visitors as needed.
• Uses radiology computer systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain patient information.
• Organizes and prepares exam rooms and supplies; maintains equipment as needed.
• Greets patients and visitors; answers calls, schedules appointments and takes messages as needed.
• Acts as liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.
• Provides radiology reports and images to staff and patients; files and releases health information.
• Documents information and communicates observations to physicians and health care team.
• Performs routine maintenance and quality monitoring of imaging equipment; assists with cleaning and sterilization.
• Assists with MRI implant screening and documentation.
• Demonstrates age-specific care knowledge and adapts care to patient needs.
