The ideal candidate has dental office experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with Dentrix or Eaglesoft, HIPAA knowledge, and a patient‑focused approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a dental office; ideally a similar patient coordination role.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (Dentrix / Eaglesoft).
• Experience with dental insurance claims and benefits verification.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Background in customer service or sales, ability to guide patients through decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for patients regarding treatment plans, financial options, and appointment scheduling.
• Explain dental procedures, treatment plans, and associated costs clearly and compassionately to patients.
• Maintaining patient records and confidentiality according to HIPAA.
• Addressing objections and negotiating treatment plans and costs.
• Verify insurance benefits and assist patients in understanding their coverage and out-of-pocket expenses.
• Scheduling appointments, treatment plan consultations, and post-treatment follow-ups.
• Submitting insurance applications and documents to insurance companies.
• Streamlining office operations and communication between patients, staff and dentists.
• Help patients track and follow payment schedules.
