Claris Vision in Dartmouth, MA is seeking a dedicated Contact Lens Technician to support clinical and optical teams. You will educate patients on lens care, help with insertion and removal, and ensure accurate order processing and privacy.

The role emphasizes patient-focused service in a fast-paced eye care setting, with duties ranging from Rx verification to inventory management and coordination with the optometrist. A high school diploma and health care experience are required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in optometry, ophthalmology, optical retail, or health care setting.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn contact lens products, office procedures, and electronic health record systems.
• Attention to detail when handling patient information and processing orders.
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients of varying ages and abilities.
• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
• Must possess the abilities needed to complete essential tasks, including learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for comprehension and problem-solving.

Responsabilidades

• Educate patients on proper contact lens handling, insertion, removal, cleaning, disinfection, storage, and replacement schedules.
• Demonstrate and supervise contact lens insertion and removal techniques within training and scope of practice.
• Reinforce contact lens hygiene, safety, and prescribed wearing schedules.
• Verify contact lenses Rx's via inside and outside channels.
• Answer routine patient questions regarding contact lens care, comfort, and use.
• Identify patient concerns or potential complications and refer to the optometrist or ophthalmologist.
• Provide courteous, professional service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
