Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Part-time Patient Placement RN at the Midway Campus in St. Paul, MN. The role supports safe, efficient care by coordinating patient flow and timely placements across the health system, including PACU, ED and procedural areas.

Responsibilities include prioritizing bed availability, expediting transfers, and collaborating with hospital staff and physicians to optimize bed utilization. Requires ADN or higher nursing degree and MN RN licensure upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing is preferred; Associate degree required as minimum.
• RN licensure in Minnesota upon hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall patient flow and internal placement across M Health Fairview.
• Coordinate internal transfers and transfers from PACU, ED, and other areas.
• Coordinate external transfers and identify bed availability across departments.
• Communicate with leadership to optimize bed utilization and patient throughput.
• Maintain relationships with site leaders and staff to support efficient placement.
