Job summary

Jobtailor in Wilmington, Delaware seeks an Epic Grand Central Specialist to lead implementation and configuration of the Epic Grand Central Patient Flow module, including bed management, environmental services, transport, and transfer center. You will analyze current workflows and tailor the system to clinical and operational needs.

Candidates should have 2–3 years with Epic or similar EHR, or a HS diploma with 5 years, and preferably a nursing background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, IT, or a related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience working with Epic systems or a similar EHR platform required.
• Nursing background preferred.
• Epic Grand Central certification preferred; if not certified, must become Epic certified.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and configuration of the Epic Grand Central Patient Flow module, including bed management, environmental services, transport, and transfer center
• Conduct workflow analysis to understand current processes and identify improvement opportunities using Epic
• Customize the Epic Grand Central Patient Flow module to meet clinical and operational requirements
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate module functionality and performance
• Provide training and support to physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and other end-users
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with IT and clinical teams
• Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, workflows, and training materials
• Collaborate with IT, clinical staff, project managers, Epic representatives, the organization, and end-users to deliver projects and meet business needs
• Hold weekly communications covering deliverable status, risks, budget, and upcoming milestones
• Apply best practices and methodologies for Epic implementations while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

• Strong non-clinical analysts with demonstrated proficiency in patient flow processes will also be considered
• Epic Grand Central certification preferred; if not certified, must become Epic certified
