Job summary

Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage patient scheduling for the Lake Mary region. This role involves coordinating with physicians, patients, and ancillary departments to schedule, reschedule, and cancel tests and procedures.

The candidate will maintain schedules, ensure accurate data entry, and uphold Orlando Health’s patient-first service philosophy while adhering to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must complete Orlando Health medical terminology course within 90 days of hire.
• One (1) year of retail, customer service or health care.
• Computer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information of department/procedure specific scheduling criteria to expedite patient preparation, arrival location and time.
• Be proactive with all customers by actively listening, showing a caring attitude and offering alternatives when necessary.
• Demonstrate superb telephone etiquette, team player attitude and professional communication skills at all times.
• Understands the importance Orlando Health places on providing exemplary customer service with a Patient First Philosophy.
• Maintains regular communication with the practices regarding scheduling matters and changes.
