Job summary

Panoramic Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to perform both administrative and clinical duties in a physician office. The role includes check-in/out, scheduling, vitals, and data entry in athenaClinicals, with patient instruction and coordination of referrals and labs.

The ideal candidate has CMA certification, CPR (preferred), and at least 1 year of experience. Knowledge of nephrology care and PMD Soft is a plus, with strong HIPAA compliance and Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current AAMA CMA certification or other equivalent certification.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• At least 1-year of relevant medical assistant experience in a physician office.
• athenaClinicals EMR experience.
• HIPAA compliance knowledge and patient privacy awareness.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Nephrology or dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, checks in/out, collects co-pays, and schedules procedures.
• Answers calls, maintains clinical inboxes in athenaClinicals EMR.
• Rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and documenting in the EMR.
• Assist providers with exams and procedures as directed.
• Process referrals, tests, and lab/imaging coordination.
• Call patients with results or instructions from providers.
• Prepare for visits and manage charting, reminders, and documentation.
• Maintain HIPAA, OSHA, and IT standards; support staff as needed.
