Job summary

Nutex Health is seeking a Patient Financial Services Representative to handle incoming and outgoing calls about payments and questions, and to coordinate payment arrangements and EOB explanations for patients.

The role includes pulling daily GoRev reports, reviewing accounts with balances, and providing itemized billing ledgers and records on request, supporting the Patient Advocate Manager as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 consecutive years in Patient Access, Patient Advocacy, Front Desk Registration (Hospital or Clinic) or similar.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Post-Secondary Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding or related training.

Responsibilities

• Explain in and out-of-network benefits.
• Provide excellent customer service to de-escalate irate patients.
• Review payment posting and explanation of payments.
• Review accounts thoroughly to ensure the patient was billed properly.
• Set up payment plans for patients.
• Update wrong addresses and/or contact information per patient.
• Review Bad Debt accounts for Collection Letters.
• Review payment corrections on GoRev and Waystar.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Patient Advocate Manager.

Patient Financial Services Representative

The Patient Financial Services Rep will take inbound and outbound calls regarding payments and complaints and answer questions per patient. The Patient Financial Services Rep will coordinate payment arrangements, address concerns, and explain EOBs to the patient. They will also pull a daily report from GoRev, reviewing accounts with outstanding balances and providing itemized billing ledgers and medical records upon request.
