Job summary

Emergence Health Network seeks a patient pre-registration specialist to determine pre-visit collections, authorizations and financial arrangements. The role ensures accurate registration and supports the revenue cycle by reviewing financial data and aligning patient accounts with charity care programs.

Reports to the CRD & Preauthorization Supervisor, requires 2 years in related work and a high school diploma; travel and driver license may be required for outreach or training.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED with 2 years in office support, call center, clerical or related field.
• Experience with patient pre-registration, billing or financial screening is a plus.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Register patients under funding programs and verify income/eligibility.
• Review financial documents and determine ability to pay.
• Generate patient statements and coordinate with clinics on eligibility and charity care.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate with supervisors about accounts.
