Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Business Representative Team Lead at our Boston location. The role reports to the Manager of Financial Counseling and oversees the PBR function as a financial counselor and registrar, advocating for patients and guiding them through financial assistance and billing processes.

The Team Lead collaborates across departments to resolve complex billing issues, trains new hires, and supports continuous process improvements within the revenue cycle.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting with patient access/registration.
• Experience in lieu of a degree is not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Patient Business Representative team and act as finance counselor and registrar.
• Assist low-income, uninsured, and underinsured patients with financial assistance applications.
• Serve as primary contact for billing/financial issues and coordinate with care teams.
