Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Patient Financial Navigator at our Bonita Springs Office to manage patient financial responsibilities and ensure accurate insurance information in our systems.

You will work with OncoEMR/Centricity, handle managed care activities, and support patients through the billing process to optimize payments and access to care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare, preferably clinical or business office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Insurance knowledge including medical terminology and managed care processes.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 codes and collection activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and collect patients' financial responsibilities.
• Maintain up-to-date insurance benefits in OncoEMR and Centricity; review services for diagnosis and coverage.</br>
• Execute daily tasks of Managed Care and Patient Financial Navigator.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring and collecting the financial responsibilities of our patients.
• The Patient Financial Navigator must keep patients’ insurance benefits up to date in OncoEMR and Centricity and view the patients’ services for diagnosis and insurance coverage appropriateness.
• Also performs the daily tasks of Managed Care and Patient Financial Navigator.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED. -
• Experience working in a healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting or business office is required.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills needed.
• Insurance knowledge requirements including:
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Managed care authorization process
• ICD10 codes
• Collection experience
• Ability to calculate and collect patients’ responsibility and insurance co-pay/coinsurance.
