Responsibilities

• Serve as patient advocate and verify insurance coverage prior to services.
• Determine estimate amounts, fill out the upfront letter and send to the patient.
• Discuss pre-payment process and payment options with patients.
• Process payments for clinic and hospital when required.
• Assist with payment arrangements per policy and review financial assistance applications.
• Prepare ABNs or waivers for non-covered services and inform Patient Access.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in department meetings.
