Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Medical City Lewisville is seeking a Financial Counselor to review the Financial Clearance Worklist, visit in-house patients, estimate patient liabilities, and explain financial responsibilities while coordinating with Medicaid Eligibility and insurance teams.

Responsibilities include applying AIDET, delivering excellent customer service, generating verification and precertification reports, assisting with payment plans, and entering patient data in the HIS system (Meditech).

Qualifications

• Review the Financial Clearance Worklist daily and visit in-house patients.
• Explain all financial information, responsibilities and patient liabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and use of eligibility systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow AIDET guidelines in all patient interactions.
• Provide estimates to patients/physicians as requested.
• Generate insurance verification and precertification reports daily.
