Job summary

San Diego Periodontics & Implant Dentistry is seeking a patient & treatment coordinator for our San Diego practice. The role involves front-office duties, guiding patients from initial contact through consultation, explaining treatment options and costs, and handling insurance and financing discussions to move care forward.

The ideal candidate is warm, confident, organized, dependable, and proactive with excellent communication.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication, warm and professional demeanor.
Strong customer service and ability to build rapport with different personalities.
Ability to learn new information quickly, retain training, and apply concepts.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Comfortable with computers and able to learn new software efficiently.
Typing speed of 50+ WPM preferred.

Responsibilities

Answer phone calls, emails, and text messages promptly, warmly, and professionally.
Welcome patients and manage check-in and check-out.
Coordinate appointments and maintain an organized and productive schedule.
Communicate treatment recommendations and guide patients through the treatment process.
Review treatment plans, estimated costs, insurance information, and payment options.
Follow up on unscheduled treatment and overdue recall.
Understand PPO concepts and communicate insurance estimates with the team.
Document important patient communications and follow-up.
