Job summary

UPMC’s Rehabilitation Institute in Allison Park is seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative to join our team. The role offers Mon/Wed 9am-5:30pm and Tue/Thu/Fri 7am-3:30pm shifts, with no weekends or holidays.

You will welcome patients, educate them on copayments and financial obligations, and collect payments when applicable. You will schedule follow-up appointments, update demographics and insurance information, and connect patients to financial advocacy resources as needed,

Qualifications

• Welcomes patients on arrival and maintains a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Educates patients about copayments and financial obligations.
• Collects payments when applicable and processes transactions accurately.
• Schedules follow-up appointments within the continuum of care.
• Verifies and updates patient demographics and insurance information.
• Promotes use of the MyUPMC portal and navigates patient portal registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm greeting for all patients.
• Guide patients through self-arrival technology or check-in at desk.
• Collect copayments and other payments at point of service.
• Confirm and update patient registration information at checkout.
• Schedule follow-up appointments within the practice at checkout.
• Assist patients in scheduling ancillary services or connecting to resources.
