Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Medical Practice Patient Representative to support a gastroenterology practice in Ridgefield, CT. This full-time role covers front desk duties, scheduling, patient intake and coordination with care teams.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying demographics and insurance, scheduling, collecting co-pays, and maintaining accurate records in the EMR system, with travel between practices as needed. Salary range listed is hourly.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; MS Office experience preferred.
• Data Entry and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly.
• Ensures accuracy of patient information, demographics, and insurance.
• Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages and documents in EMR.
• Registers, verifies, and schedules appointments, tests, and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules appointments per office protocols.
• Monitors applications and manages worklists as applicable.
• Collects co-pays and reconciles payments for deposit.
• Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for patients.
• Performs intake and processing of medical records and docs.
• Fulfills compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Models organization values and maintains reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Ability to travel between practices as needed.
