Job summary

UPMC Touchstone Medical Imaging in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Patient Representative to support outpatient radiology sites. You will welcome patients, register them, collect payments, and help schedule exams to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to work independently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Training and onboarding assistance are also part of the job.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required
• 1+ years’ medical office experience preferred - familiarity with outpatient clinical setting and patient registration workflows, familiarity with medical terminology
• High school diploma required
• Excellent customer service, both internal and external
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail
• Computer literate
• Primarily sitting; standing and walking as needed
• Lift up to 25lbs
• Possible exposure to radiation, infectious disease, bloodborne pathogens
• Overtime as needed depending on business need
• Shifts subject to variation depending on business need

Responsibilities

• Check-in and patient registration, including paperwork and insurance data
• Collect payments and establish payment plans at time of service
• Answer inquiries or direct to appropriate parties
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures
• Manage incoming calls as a patient resource
• Send appointment confirmations and follow up on missed visits
• Coordinate with staff to maintain flow and efficiency
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff
• Support other staff with questions or tasks
• Other duties as assigned
