Job summary

Select Medical in East Hartford, CT is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients at the front desk, register them, schedule visits, and handle billing and insurance verification. This full-time role supports outpatient physical therapy centers with a focus on delivering an exceptional patient experience from arrival to checkout.

Typical shifts are Monday through Friday, with a pay rate of $19.00 to $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year front desk experience preferred.
• 1 year scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain regular communication with related offices and departments (attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services, market leaders, business development teams).
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
