Job summary

Warren Clinic in Broken Arrow, OK seeks a friendly front desk receptionist to handle reception, patient registration, and billing in our busy medical practice. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and use the EMR system to update records according to HIPAA guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, at least 6 months of front-facing customer service or medical office experience, and strong PC and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Front-facing customer service or medical office experience is preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of front-facing customer service or medical office experience.
• Demonstrated PC skills and ability to record and interpret data.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Greets and directs patients and visitors per office protocols.
• Registers demographic and billing information; determines eligibility for care.
• Uses EMR and other applications to update records and process tasks.
• Maintains medical records and handles chart preparation and filing.
• Collects co-pays/deductibles and processes cash receipts and deposits.
• Post charges/payments to patient accounts and assist in billing tasks.
• Maintains provider schedules and assists with referrals and tests.
• Adheres to HIPAA and OSHA policies and participates in safety initiatives.
