Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Patient Services Associate II to enhance the patient experience by efficiently handling arrival and departure activities, verifying demographics, insurance, referrals, and pre-authorizations as needed.

You will greet patients, support EPIC workflows, ensure HIPAA compliance, and help maintain smooth flow of visits through registration, scheduling, and coordination with care teams, reflecting the Jefferson Experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
• Ability to multi task while managing a time sensitive workload.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process check in and/or check out, and scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtains pre certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate.
• Greets and interacts with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
