Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Patient Service Representative for our Mount Pleasant, SC clinic. You will handle patient check-ins, verify insurance, process payments, and maintain records with a friendly, professional demeanor.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy setting while delivering excellent customer service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of medical office experience preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer functions and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills required.
• Typing speed of at least 40 wpm preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs opening and closing clinic duties.
• Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance.
• Scans documents into electronic health record.
• Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter.
• Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments; schedules follow-ups.
• Responds to tasks in the electronic health record; orders clinic office supplies.
