Job summary

Genentech in South San Francisco is seeking a Patient Experience Solution Lead to design, develop and launch patient-facing experiences across digital and service touchpoints. The role collaborates with multiple teams to ensure feasibility, regulatory alignment and scalable solutions.

The position requires 10-12 years in pharma/biotech, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong tech integration abilities. A hybrid on-site schedule is offered in CA with a discretionary annual bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Bring 10-12 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or a related industry.
• Demonstrate strong experience with stakeholder management in matrixed organizations, with a proven ability to influence without direct authority.
• Possess deep understanding of and comfort with technology, with a demonstrated ability to integrate technology and digitally enabled tools into service touchpoints.
• Demonstrate knowledge of access, reimbursement, and the healthcare ecosystem, with experience designing patient-facing experiences strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design, development, and launch of patient-facing experiences across digital and service touchpoints.
• Define and author experience charters, blueprints, product requirements, and success metrics.
• Coordinate with Experience Design, Strategy & Governance, and Business Designers to evaluate investment trade-offs and scalability.
• Partner cross-functionally with multiple internal teams and external vendors to ensure technical feasibility and regulatory alignment.
• Direct UX resources from low-fidelity concepts to high-fidelity prototypes with structured feedback during pilots.
• Embed an enterprise mindset to orchestrate digital tools and human touchpoints across the organization.
• Lead and coach cross-functional design project teams with psychological safety and resilience.
