Job summary

UFJPI is seeking a clerical services professional to support patient-facing operations in a healthcare setting. The role includes patient registration through direct data entry, appointment scheduling, and handling messages between patients, providers, and departments.

The incumbent will perform EMR data entry, cashiering for copays and other patient payments, and contribute to the coordination of patient care as a valued member of the care team.

Qualifications

• 2 years of data entry experience.
• 1 year clerical/customer service experience in healthcare preferred.
• Experience with third party payors and inputting data in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately with direct data entry for new and established patients.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flows.
• Route messages to appropriate departments and staff.
• Enter patient dispositions, codes, orders, and payments in the EMR.
• Handle cashiering for copayments and patient payments.
• Provide excellent customer service and support care teams.
• Participate as an active care team member in coordinating patient care.
