Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for our Palmer, MA outpatient center. You will greet and register patients, explain the visit flow, and assist with appointments and payments at check-out.

This full-time role offers weekday hours (8am–6pm or 8am–4pm), a pay range of $18–$20 per hour, and benefits including PTO, medical/vision/dental coverage, and a company 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Front Desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain regular communication with insurers, attorneys and translation services and other internal teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
